FAQ

1. How should I prepare for my first Breathwork class?

It’s best to come to a breathwork session on an empty stomach so please don’t eat for at least 2 hours before a session.

Bring water and wear comfortable clothing. Bring a blanket, bolster, pillow or anything that will make you feel cozy and comfy.

Come with an open heart and an open mind. Having an intention in mind is good but try not to have any expectations for what may happen or come up. Our bodies hold a lot of emotions and energy that we are not conscious of. Just let what happens, happen. Trust that your body knows what's ready to be released.

2. What happens if I feel like I am freaking out during the session because of a big emotional or physical release?

As your guide, I am trained in how to manage various physical and emotional situations that can come up for you during a session. I will always have my attention on you and will be ready to assist you if needed. It is my duty to provide a sacred and safe container for you. I will be there to support you every step of the way.

Additionally, the fastest way to regulate your body if things become too intense is to simply go back to regularly paced nose/mouth breathing. You can always come back to the breath. All of this information will be covered at the beginning of our sessions.

 3. Is it normal to have a big emotional release during our session?

Yes, this style of Breathwork is very heart opening, which can cause an intense emotional release to occur. This could happen to you or if we are in a group session, any of the other participants. The most important thing to do is to NOT JUDGE your experience or the experience of others. Whether you have the big ugly cry or if it’s a more subtle experience. Some people laugh, howl, anything goes. Everything and anything is perfect and exactly what your mind, body and soul needs.

4. What should I do to ground after a session?

Be gentle with yourself and take your time to integrate. It is very important to ground yourself after breathwork. I recommend going for a walk, putting your feet on the earth and/or taking an epson salt bath.

5. Do you offer private Breathwork sessions?

Yes! In a private session, we will speak beforehand on areas of your life you want to focus on. With that information as well as through intuitive guidance, I will lead you through a personalized Breathwork session. Please contact me for more details.
